Anterior placenta anybody?

Hi everybody,

I’m 21+3 and still not feeling any sort of significant movement. Maybe I am but I really don’t know what I’m looking for? This is my first, and on my notes for my 20 week scan the sonographer has put that my placenta is anterior. I’m aware that this can muffle movements but it’s really frustrating as I’ve read other mums felt movement significantly before 21 weeks with an anterior placenta.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I just want to feel my baby move as I’m forever worrying about him :(

This is my 3rd pregnancy, first time with anterior placenta but I was 24 weeks before I felt anything!

I’ve had 2 anterior placentas. With my first I felt a first flutter at 21 weeks and gradually they got stronger. It can be very frustrating/concerning I agree!

Anterior placenta here - I felt something that could have been wind at 18 weeks but didn't really feel anything significant until 22 weeks+. As always, if you're worried talk to someone but you should start to feel something you can identify as movement soon (I now feel movement constantly at 32 weeks!)
