Cramping & stabbing pain 19 weeks

Hoping for some reassurance/advice. I'm just over 19 weeks on my first. Today I've been getting cramping low in my belly - getting progressively worse all day. Hurts more when I walk. Can almost forget it when I sit still. This evening it feels like it's moved further down into my pelvis and feels almost like a stabbing pain. And any movement at all makes it worse. Help! Is this normal? And is there anything I can do or take to get some relief?

Hi, I have felt similar pain to what you’re describing. I’m 21+3 weeks and experience stabbing pains and sharp pains in my pelvis since 12 weeks. As it’s concerning you and genuinely causing you significant pain I’d say get seen just to be on the safe side. With that being said as your organs move to accommodate your baby and your stomach muscles are stretched, you will get pains and aches. Sometimes surprisingly it’s gas, or just growing pains despite being so painful. As long as there is no bleeding try not to worry too much. But definitely get a professional second opinion.

Take care xx
