17 days late bfn

I don't usually get replies on here but I thought I would try as I'm slightly confused.
My husband had a vasectomy 9 years ago which we both assumed was successful, until recently. My last af was due 15th June and I'm usually between 26-30 days each cycle, 28 days is the general rule so based on that I'm 17 days late.

I had an upset tummy for about 10 days which ended last week, been feeling incredibly bloated, had awful heartburn and been going to the toilet more, also I've noticed my boobs hurt but nothing too major and the only time my tummy seems to settle is when I eat something. I've done two tests at about 10 days late, both bfn. We arent trying for a baby as we didn't think it possible, any advice??

Sometimes our periods just go a bit wonky.

You've been ill recently, which can throw out your cycle, and your husband has had a vasectomy which has probably worked as you've been ok until now.

Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate now, so I would trust the negative result, but you could always ask your doctor for a blood test?

Actually, it’s totally possible to get a negative on a home pregnancy test, even after a positive. I had a negative on a hospital urine test, even.

Definitely go to get a blood test!
