I am probably overthinking as I have a bad history with this pregnancy and all HCPs are expecting a small baby. i can feel my uterus when i lay on my back but thats it. Anyone else?

Is this your first baby OP?
Also I think a lot depends on your body size and shape as to whether you have a big bump at this stage. I'm only small so showed at about 18 weeks with my first but my friend is nearly 6 foot and quiet overweight, she didn't really have a bump even at 34 weeks!

If everything else is ok eg scans etc I would try not to worry.

No its my 3rd. Looking back at pictures with 1st 2 I showed much sooner. Im a size 8 average height. I have put a stone in weight on but I can't tell where. I have my first growth scan in 4 weeks but feels so far away!

Oh ok. Try not to worry OP. You could always give your midwife a quick call for a chat and see if she could reassure you?

I literally didn't show in my pregnancy till about 32 weeks unless I was lay on my back, all pregnancies are different but talk to your midwife if youre overly concerned x

Maybe because you see yourself all the time you haven't noticed subtle changes? Why not post a pick of tummy and see if we see a bump? I didn't think I was changing but now I've started taking pictures I see changes in definition I wasn't seeing properly :)

LaurenJade96 · 28/07/2018 19:37

I didn’t start to show till I was 32 weeks pregnant! I’m 39 now and I just look a little rounder 🤣 speak to somebody if your worried, but some people just don’t show as much Smile

Im not overly worried in that I will phone someone but just wondered if anyone else hadnt shown til later on. So got some reassuring comments there thanks! Im sure everything will be fine but que sera sera! If iI do have to have her early then so be it. Cant worry at this stage. Thanks all!

So after a week of obsessively monitoring my bump i finally went to see a midwife this eve. She listened to heart beat but said that she agreed the bump was well on the small side and got me a referal for a growth scan followed by time on day assessment tomorrow. I went for reassurance and came away so upset. I just feel like i know something is wrong and i did last week and i should have acted on my instincts then. Just feel very emotional this eve and hope everything is ok. I wanted her to say it was normal to have a bump this size but Im pleased she didnt just palm me off on the other hand. 🤞 for tomorrow anyway.
