Apparently there is a test you can do at home to let you know if GBS is resistant to the antibiotic alternative offered in labour if you are allergic to penicillin. But I can't find this anywhere! Does anybody know where I can get this test? My husband says read about it online when he was researching it after I was diagnosed but now he can't find it 🙄

I think I read somewhere that the one by the doctors laboratory does that. But the antibiotic that's supposed to be given now if you're allergic to penicillin has changed, so maybe it's no longer necessary?

Best to ask your midwife or doctor, or maybe the GBS Support Charity? www.gbss.org.uk

Thanks for your reply - yes I noticed the antibiotic had changed and hope they're on top of it!
