Sorry if I'm just being silly but I saw my midwife last Friday I was 38+2 my next appointment is now on the 7/8/18 so I will be 40+6. It's my second child and as I gave birth at 37+2 last time this is all new to me. Is it normal to be left so long without an appointment?

Second to this I've been having a rough day of it generally feeling gritty, upset, crying at random and physically I'm exhausted. I lost some more of my plug which had been coming away for at least two weeks and have had braxton Hicks. I'm just not comfortable at all and I'm dreading waiting so long to be seen again.

Any advice from people who have gone over would b really appreciated x

That's normal according to the NICE guidance. Link
It doesn't sound like you have that long to go though tbh, things seem to be getting ready and your previous one was here by this time. Good luck!

I had a sweep at 40+5 and gave birth at 40+6.

I had a sweep at 40+3. Baby came 1hr 5mins later. We called the midwife magic fingers as when she went in I wasn't dialated. Lol was a bit of a shock!

Thank you for the advice guys, I'm feeling much more optimistic this morning I'd just had a really down day.

No baby yet but feeling more like myself, I just feel guilty DS who is 4 is getting fed up with me because I didn't feel up to doing much yesterday and felt very very ill and tired and it just got a bit much.
