Breech at 32 weeks - spinning babies?

Just discovered today baby is breech. I'm pretty gutted at the prospect of a section and keen to do what I can to help her turn. Have been looking at spinning babies website and wonder if anyone has any experience or tips?

32 weeks is extremely early to be considering a c section for potential breech. Babies can turn any day right up until birth...I would completely wait it out and see, I think your baby will turn sometime within the next few weeks, most eventually do. Don't panic now

My son was breech (undiagnosed)!turned himself in Dec to breech position and was born early March (vaginally). Because I had a natural labour with his older sibling I gave birth with no intervention.

When he turned it was very uncomfortable I thought I was in labour and did yoga moves to remove pain/discomfort. In hindsight I think actually helped him turn Grin

My point is when he turned it hurt. Cannot offer any other suggestion but perhaps knowledge is power with these things. I would not want him turned by a health professional SadGood luck

Discovered my baby was breech around the same week as you. Tried the stuff in spinning babies and everything the midwife suggested, didn't work Sad But it's worth a try.

You still have time for the baby to turn itself. It all depends on how co-operative your baby when is trying the spinning babies things out. Have someone near by if you decide to try the ironing board thing!

Ended up getting an ECV (external cephalic version) after week 37. Wasn't too sure about going ahead with it, but the obstetrician was very experienced and answered all of my questions. It was painful but baby did turn first try.

Not breech but I used spinning babies advice and moves to turn a back to back baby the correct way round. After that had a lovely textbook delivery.

First DS had been resolutely back to back and it was not easy (long labour, no relief between contractions, forceps). So did this when DS2 was resolutely back to back in the last trimester.

Good luck.

Thanks all. Merrydoula- no one considering a section yet except me! I know many turn but I want to do what I can to help it along and it sounds like pre 36 weeks that's more possible. I'm planning a home birth so breech is not really compatible. Flicketyflack, so do you mean you had a breech vaginal birth? Did you have to find someone with experience to agree to do it?
Good to hear some positive experiences, I'd like to avoid ecv also. Did anyone try Moxibustion?
