Hey ladies,
So I’ve been put on a weeks supply of nitrofurantoin an antibiotic which I must take twice a day. For the last few days I’ve been taking it with my daily pregnacare vitamin. However today I realised I haven’t taken my vitamin and my antibiotic is due. So I took my vitamin but searched up whether both tablets would interact with eachother.
It does say online that they can interact and cause side effects or cause the drug to not work properly.
I’m 33+1 and am worrying about whether I should continue to take both as I know nitrofurantoin is supposedly safe during pregnancy. Any advice would be appreciated

I can't see any listed interactions for it but you are better of asking a pharmacist or another HCP to confirm it. Lots of drugs are safe to take together or at with different meals e.g. take one a lunch and the other at dinner.
