Worried to tell Work

Hi all, I'm really anxious about telling work when we're 3 months.

I am a childcarer in their family home and have not worked for them for that long.

I'm concerned as my friend was in the same situation last year, told them and then 2 weeks later they were handed notice.

Concerned I won't be employed or find another employer whilst pregnant, and to lose my work at this crucial £ time!!!

It's important to tell them as it may affect what you are capable of doing at work. If they are otherwise satisfied with your work and only dismiss you once you disclose your pregnancy, that is illegal and they can be sued for this.

Hi Op,
You only need to tell your employer 15weeks before your baby is due; so if you don’t need a risk assessment or amended duties you might not want to share at 12weeks
Congratulations btw!
