Aching limbs, chills, throat feels like I’m swallowing razors, blocked nose...I’m taking paracetamol and I’m off work, will bring unwell like this affect the baby?

Sorry to hear you're feeling so unwell. You're far enough along (I think you're due a similar time to me, October?) that your illness shouldn't be a problem for the baby at all. Hope you feel better soon x

There's some info here that you might find helpful

Try not to worry, I had 2 bouts of flu within my first trimester and was ill for 2 months, took the max paracetamol for a lot of that and I'm now 39+1 will no ill effects

@tinyterror1 yes, I’m due in October. I’m 26 weeks on Saturday. Thank you.

You should be fine. I had a month long virus when I was about your gestation in the winter and it was horrific, but baby was absolutely fine x just don't take ibuprofen obviously x

It’ll be fine. I imagine most people get at least one bout of illness while pregnant, I certainly did. I had norovirus with DD2, plus tonsillitis. Many colds!

I am feeling like that too. I m 31 weeks. Had a really bad stomach at the weekend and now feel absolutely wiped out. A bit like the day before flu. Not sure if it's a virus or a growing baby zapping my energy!!
