IVF at Guys Hospital- Your Experience?

Hello,

I’m hoping to start IVF treatment at Guys Private Hospital and curious of people’s experiences, it was between Guy’s Private or The London Women’s Clinic- Harley Street, however reviews weren't particularly outstanding.

@HayleyLIsa86 how was your experience with Guy’s at the end? I was thinking of using them in private thanks!

Hi @PicoUK75,

In the end we went with The London Women's Clinic (LWC) Harley Street who I have to say have been fantastic.

I know the team at Guys Hospital very well both professionally and with regards to fertility. The team are fab however in the end we decided to go with a a completely private setting. If i'm being honest I wasn't overly impressed having a private and NHS service combined. I 'm pro-NHS however having to pay private fees one expects a more premium service, however I can only speak from my experience. With the initial service we received from Guys vs that of LWC, the service was worlds apart, non comparable.

This is quite a journey so if you have any questions or I can help in anyway I'm happy to help, please don't be a stranger, I've been there and no the numbers of questions one can have :)

@HayleyLIsa86 ok thank you so much! Yes your experience will be great. It is always so difficult to discuss this when everybody is having babies so easily around you! You don't have to say but I was wondering what the reason was for you to use the IVF route? I have been "diagnosed" with unexplained fertility. We have run all our tests and everything at Guy's as a NHS patient and everything is normal it is just not happening for us. Because it is for our second baby we have to go private. Most of my tests were run via the NHS so I am
Hoping I won't have to repay for all these....
