Is it possible I could be pregnant?

I will test again in 4-7 days, however those days will drag and some advice and experiences will help me out.

So a couple of months ago I was on the pill, but for four and a half weeks of the seven or eight weeks I was on the pill, I bled.

I stopped the pill on Monday 14th May and my period stopped on 18th May.

Since coming off the pill, I bled - however the “period” was different to anything I’ve experience. I bled for three days, followed by a brown discharge on panty liner and then bright red/pink blood when I wiped a few times. My period usually last 7 days in total (getting lighter from the 3rd day and almost nothing between 5th annd 7th day).

My period should have been due yesterday (1sy July) as my last bleed began on 3rd June. Yesterday I had to run to the bathroom (diarrhoea). I had similar situations when I was pregnant with my two Daughters - so immediately alarms bells rang, as I had nothing to eat that could have caused that.

Today I took a pregnancy test and to me it looks like a faint positive, which after yesterday I was expecting. However, I took a morning after pill on day 5 - which was Friday 22nd and me and my partner had sex on Saturday 23rd.

Just before the pregnant test, I had discharge on my panty liner, that had a tinge of pink in it.

I’m unsure as to whether this could just be a false positive. If not, it means I got pregnant before the morning after pill could prevent anything.

Waiting almost a week seems like forever, so some advice would be great. Thanks in advance. Obviously if am pregnant, I am 100% keeping it :)

I’ve attached an image of what my test read.

That’s not a false or indeed a faint positive.

That is a big fat positive and you are indeed pregnant.

How do you feel about that? I’m guessing it wasn’t part of the plan given that you were on the pill and took the morning after pill?

Yes, that’s a positive pregnancy test. False positives are extremely rare. It sounds like you’re kind of happy about it? Are you OK?

That’s not a faint positive, that’s a very very definitely pregnant line.

Hi dingdongdigeridoo. I am happy and very grateful as a child is a blessings - the only negative is that me and my partner split up three days ago and as we have a two year old and ten month old, it’s going to be very stressful - but a beautiful blessing all the same.

Thank you for asking and thank you for responding.

Hi JustVent. It was not part of the plan as we have two children under two and half, but a child is a blessing, so I will never regret the fact I’m pregnant.
I thought I’d feel stressed at knowing I was pregnant, but I don’t.
