Hi All,
Anyone else pregnant with twins? I have a five year old daughter and I don't recall her pregnancy being this awful (though it wasn't a walk in the park either). I am 8 weeks pregnant and cannot imagine how I will survive another 4-6 weeks of this. I am exhausted, constantly starving and constantly and painfully nauseous, not to mention short of breath - in the first trimester?!

I am also pretty nervous about having twins. The pregnancy prognosis out their for twins pregnancy looks pretty awful, i.e. post first trimester things don't necessarily get much better, and then how will I ever sleep with two babies?!?!

Feeling down. :(

Any more experienced twin mums or fellow pregnant with twins women?! I think I need a companion through this...

Thanks Kat

Hi congrats! I have 4 year old identical twin girls. Yes it was tough, yes the early days were mental but not as awful as everyone said it would be. They are now the best of friends and play together so well. I found I had to take it easy earlier than most in pregnancy and I had to have a routine with the girls as babies as I wouldn't have got anything done. However they were good sleepers and I managed to largely breastfeed them. I'd look for a local twins groups where u can take them and also even go before hand to make friends and get advice. Depending where u are Tamba the twins charity and some hospitals run twins anti natal courses. In the north east we also have a very active twins face book community! Lots of support is out there kx

I don’t have twins but a friend of mine did. When I went to visit her when the babies were 7 weeks old she was already talking about wanting more. I hope that gives you some encouragement!

Hello!! 👋

I found out on wed that I'm carrying twins, thought I was 7w but scan showed I'm more like 6w but we saw two tiny heartbeats fluttering away 💙💗

To say I'm feeling pretty shell shocked is an understatement! We have a DD 3,5yrs and a 9m old DS so all being well I'll have 3 under 18m! 😱. How did you feel when you found out? How has your DH taken it?

I'm with you on feeling awful, I'm exhausted, have unquenchable thirst, constantly nauseous and hungry at the same time but am struggling to eat meals.. I definitely feel worse than I did in my last pregnancy. Your GP will prob sign you off work if your feeling terrible? You and the babies are more important!

Thanks guys. I have looked up Tamba for a local support group. There isn't one very near, but I signed up the for the nearest.

OP, you should be seen at a twins clinic at hospital for your scans etc and they might have more info about groups etc. At 12 weeks you will find out what type of twins you are having (basically if they share a placenta and sac or not) and that will dictate how many scans etc. Mine shared one which made them higher risk but I was scanned every fortnight which was very reassuring I did have complications towards the end but was signed off from work no bother and well looked after. The girls were born at 35w, we had a week in scbu- they are now utterly fine and start school in September!

Hi there!
I'm also pregnant with twins due Feb 2019.
Am soooo tired all the time! Hoping this will start to get a bit better as now in second trimester. Am ftm so all very new for me. I'll also look for a TAMBA group soon. :-)
