I was only told my papp a was below 0.34 which is the cut off for low papp a so having extra growth scans from 28 weeks. I also have a shit placenta so would be having them anyway. They seemed really not fussed by the papp a thing said its quite common. Can lead to a small baby but not always.

I have a PAPP-A of 0.18... got the letter yesterday and had a little cry.
Spoke to midwife friend who told me she's only seen two ladies who have ever been affected by this...
1 - small but healthy baby of 5lbs
2 - raised blood pressure in mum at end of pregnancy, so meds to counteract that.
Both fine.
Apparently in Scotland they don't even bother testing now as causes so much undue worry xx

Thanks ladies i think they are worried cos i have both. Ive been for an additional blood test for edwards syndrom yesterday as well. My results came back 1 in 93 chance of edwards so classed as high risk as cut off 1in 150. My doctor thinks it was my hormone and papp a thats tipped the test against me. I just feel really down at the moment. This is my 4th pregnancy but last 3 ended in miscarriage. Really trying not to worry myself silly but keep having waves of emotion and sadness about it all. women have to go through so much at times. Thanks for taking the time to post guys
