Has anyone else suffered from insomnia in early pregnancy?!? I'm 5+5 and exhausted all day, trying not to fall asleep but as soon as I get into bed I can't sleep and it's driving me insane!!
Any advice would be fantastic!! Feeling rather frazzled!! X

Feeling you! Absolutely nothing has worked for me yet!
I just lay there for hours.....
Sometimes reading for a long time helps. Or I get up and do something that's not too strenuous or stimulating. But never a screen!

Lululabelle · 25/06/2018 19:51

@Emmafh3 I think that's my biggest mistake is getting bored and staring at my screen for ages! I hope it eases off for you (and me Grin) as the pregnancy goes on!! Xx

I'd love to say it did with my dd, but it was soon replaced by nighttime pees. Which then got me onto the habit of waking at certain times even when I didn't need to pee.
But fingers crossed still😂

Yes @Lululabelle Im only 4+3 and its driving me up the wall! I love my sleep, I am shattered during the day. Not sleeping at night and up several times during the night. A few people have mentioned to me about lavender pillow spray, so that may be worth trying! Hope you get some sleep soon!

@Tinker315b it's horrible isn't it?! This heat doesn't help either! I'd love to try lavender but the smell of it makes me heave 😂 damn it!!! Radox sleep easy bubble bath seems to help slightly too x

Have had this since week 8 and have currently been awake since half 3.

I hate it when people tell me that it’s practice for when the baby arrives!!! Not helpful!!!

MrsCrumbtious · 27/06/2018 06:54

I had that in the beginning it was horrendous! If it’s any consolation it does get better the further along you get.
Have you tried ‘sleepy time’ body lotion from Lush? That’s supposed to help

Tinker315b · 27/06/2018 10:39

Yes @Lululabelle and I’m soo grumpy and irritable! The heat just makes it’s worse lol, I tried lavender pillow spray last night but don’t think it made any diffference. And if I do sleep I then wake at 6 am every morning which is very early for me!
