When should I feel real movements

Im currently 21 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first and I'm just wondering when I will start to feel real movements.
It's hard to tell what is baby moving and what is just my tummy! I haven't yet felt any real kicks just a slight bubble sort of feeling at night. I know so many people that felt movements by 18+ weeks and to be honest I'm feeling a little jealous

It varies hugely - I started to feel something around 17 weeks but really couldn't put my finger on whether it was me or baby. Now I'm 24 weeks and she's got a rough pattern - and I can see movement sometimes (freaky!) .

Some people - especially if its not their first - seem to feel things earlier. If you have an anterior placenta, you might feel movements later. And if - like me - you're carrying a bit of extra weight, you may also feel movement later. Lots of factors really, but it's very likely what you're feeling is baby and not just you! If you don't think there's proper movement and pattern by around 24 weeks you should probably chat to your midwife about it.
