Your constipation tips

I have been struggling the last 3 days. I am 24 weeks pregnant and i feel so uncomfortable due to constipation. I have tried eating oranges and prunes, but no luck so far. I also have been eating bananas which i am worried now they might not have been constipation friendly.
I have a bottle of lactulose in our medicine cabinet which i am seriously thinking of taking but i have been avoiding it so far since I don't want to go down the medicated route yet. I asked a pharmacist about constipation in pregnancy and he said lactulose was a safe option.

Has anyone been prescribed lactulose in pregnancy before?

Any natural remedies that might work miracles?

Thank you for any suggestions!

@Milknosugar1 The lactulose seemed to have worked and i found some relief this afternoon! it was either that or all the prunes and grapefruits i ate last night!

To all posters,
big big thank you for your suggestions!
I have written down all the things you have suggested and i will be sending DH shopping Grin
At this point i am willing to try everything to achieve and maintain a good schedule and not just rely on lactulose.

OP I can't stomach lactulose at all but especially not when pregnant. The bran flakes daily were enough to keep things moving for me. I certainly could tell if I hadn't had them for a couple of days
