Just wondered whether there is anyone else around this stage. How are you feeling?

I’m 6 weeks today. I’ve felt queasy the odd time last week but today I feel queasy and I’m at work and can’t help but think this is going to be it now - feeling like this every day. It’s going to be hard to concentrate on work if that’s the case!

I didn’t have a proper breakfast this morning, just a banana and a ginger biscuit, so that probably doesn’t help.

I’m also experiencing some cramps (nothing major), back ache, mood swings, fatigue (yesterday had to sit down a few times while doing housework and cooking), headaches and nipple soreness obviously... oh and wind!

I’ve had some more random symptoms like sore jaw, itchy legs and wet ears...

I’m cold at the minute too. Sometimes I find myself particularly warm. Being pregnant for the first time is new and exciting and weird...

Hi there, today i am 5wks 2days, my due date is Feb 16th, i found out 6 days ago, it wasn't planned at all, i'm scared nervous upset angry and excited, i haven't told anyone yet as i feel so confused.
I've had severe fatigue for a week, i havent been sleeping, slight brown spotting each day, my nipples are sensitive and today i feel a bit sicky.
i'm also cold at the minute, we could be slightly anaemic.
i have 2 boys 11 and 13, the sickness wont last forever you will start to feel a lot better soon.

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 11:24

Hi Feb, if you are anything like me then hormones won’t be helping the mixed feelings! Mine was planned and I’m really pleased but also anxious, worrying about little things, if things are ok, if I’m doing / eating the right things. Looking forward to getting to 12 weeks!

I already feel a bit better today. I haven’t been too sick yet, just nauseous every few days and it tends to pass after an hour or so. Hopefully it doesn’t get too bad but, at the same time, it’s comforting to feel a bit sick as I also worry if I’m not feeling anything!

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and due 12th Feb. I am feeling horrible and dreading work tomorrow. The nausea has started earlier this time although not actually being sick (yet!).

That's tough February when all those emotions are going on too. Fingers crossed for some relief from it all for us all soon!

Wellthisunexpected · 18/06/2018 11:46

There's a whole thread of us due in Feb....

I second @Wellthisunexpected post, they are really lovely!

Although I'm out (after a scan last week), I did enjoy talking to everyone!

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 12:18

I’m due around 13th feb if that counts?

No nausea just sore boobs, tiredness and dizziness. Kinda want morning sickness to make myself feel more pregnant

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 15:09

Yes absolutely, sounds like you are me + 2 days. I’m similar, had a bit of nausea not loads. Should be pleased but symptoms are reassuring!

Satsuma2019 · 18/06/2018 19:15

Hey, I will be due around 13th Feb 😊 The first few weeks were a breeze but last couple of days ive been really tired and queasy with the slightest food smell setting me off.

I also have the worst hot and cold flushes at the moment too constantly opening and closing windows which is driving DH mad lol

Bee4S · 18/06/2018 19:23

Hiya! I'm 6 weeks today too. Luckily not been too nauseous but every now and then I will feel a bit icky. This is my first pregnancy too so I'm feeling out for every new symptom and twinge 😂

Definitely been having nipple soreness and my boobs feel like they're bigger already?! Also keep getting little pains, kind of like very light ov pain but on both sides which is weird.

Does anyone else have a pregnancy book that they read day to day? It's so interesting to see the development in the early stages.

AliceRR · 18/06/2018 21:02

Satsuma I’ve had some hold and cold flushed definitely once or twice a day

Bee I had to buy a maternity bra last week. My boobs are big ish anyway but they’d definitely already grown and with the sort nipples I’m just so much more comfy in a maternity bra.

I don’t have a book but I’ve been looking at the stages online.

OP posts:
Bee4S · 18/06/2018 21:47

@AliceRR I have been thinking of getting maternity bra myself but haven't yet. Does it make a big difference? I usually have to get my bras at Bravissimo and I think they have a nursing range hut don't really fancy going in to get fitted with sore nips 😂

AliceRR · 19/06/2018 23:14

@Bee4S it seemed early but my boobs had grown and it is much more comfortable for me. My other bra was ill fitting and obvs with sore nipples it wasn’t great.

I got this one from M&S:

I’m normally a 32DD and the small was just right but I was advised to get the medium which I did and it seems right. There was no one around to fit me properly but this is working for me.

So im on honeymoon atm and needed new bras as my boobs killed in my underwire ones.

The lady in marks said dont wear anything with underwire as it can damage things. And to wear a sports bra with no underwiring.

She said i dont need the maternity ones until your breast feeding.

I hope that helps people as my boobs are sooo much happier and less painful in non wired bras!

AliceRR · 27/06/2018 08:16

@littleonek I just bought maternity ones as I’d have had to buy new sports bras anyway as my boobs have grown! Similar kind of thing though and much more comfortable.

Well i'm feeling much better about being pregnant, I told my boyfriend and he's over the moon. I'm still scared and nervous but i was with the 2 i planned so i guess its pretty normal. I've been feeling sick and starving all day every day, its calmed down a little today thank god, i've definitely got thicker around the middle, my trousers and jeans are all tight already.

Everstrong · 27/06/2018 11:51

I’m due 9th of February, feeling tired at the moment but thankfully not sick like I was with my last pregnancy. So excited!

AliceRR · 27/06/2018 17:05

Hi February and Evestrong 🙂

My clothes are definitely tight! I haven’t been very sick more “queasy” for certain times every day and I get an occasional and sudden urge to retch sometimes. Really off my food and have a bitter taste in my mouth this week.

I also get the feeling sick but hungry at the same time!

OP posts:
babyhopeful2018 · 28/06/2018 09:03

Hi @AliceRR

My estimated due date is 17 February - but I do not feel pregnant at all!! 🙈

Apart from my boobs being solid and tiredness I've had no symptoms at all!!

Got my booking appointment next week so hopefully they'll be able to confirm/make me feel more pregnant xx

Everstrong · 28/06/2018 13:00

Alice my clothes are definitely tight, luckily I am on leave from work this week so wearing lots of floaty dresses and hoping the bloating will go down before next week!

I get a really funny metallic taste in my mouth, it seems to happen at random times. Closest I’ve come to being sick was last night but I think that was because it was 4 hours since I’d eaten (I think little and often keeps it at bay!)

AliceRR · 28/06/2018 18:40

@babyhopeful I think most of us feel like that from time to time. My booking appointment isn’t for another 2 and a half weeks!

@everstrong I’ve heard about the metallic taste but haven’t experienced it. I have had however had a slightly bitter taste in my mouth over the past few days which has resulted in my eating sweets at work!

OP posts:
Littleonek · 28/06/2018 19:05

Guys.. i found the metalic taste was due to my body telling me Im not eating right. Im on pregncare max vitmatins and since I took them I dont have the metalic taste anymore.

AliceRR · 28/06/2018 19:19

@littleonek that’s very interesting! I take the seven seas pregnancy vitamins (mainly for the folic acid) but maybe they are doing some good...

Hi guys
Hope you are all well.
Does anyone have an advice for GESTATION AGE and what exactly this means???

1st day of last period- 19th may 2018

Pregnacy test taken 8th June 2018- POSITIVE :)

today (28th June 2018) had a scan
Looked at my paper work after, I noticed it said 6wks 0 days gestation age...

How could this be? 6 weeks back from today is exactly 17th may 2018, my period wasn’t until 19th may 2018...

Can someone advise :)
