Is labour nearing for me?!

The last few days I've been having period like pains on and off throughout the day, nothing to painful, baby is feeling low as I am forever needing to wee & number 2💩 (sorry for TMI)
Also lost some of my show this morning...
I'm due to have a sweep tomorrow at 39wks2days.
I just wondered if the signs above mean the sweep should hopefully get things moving in the right direction.

Anyone got any advice or experiences to share with me?!

Yes that's exactly how it started for me. Then contractions and remaining mucus plug (huge). Eat and rest while you can. X

My waters broke with my first and nothing started so I was induced ... so this is all new to me.

Foodylicious : I've been advised to have the sweep by my consultant due to my previous labour/birth (ended up with an emergancy csection) But I will mention the above symptoms to the midwife tomorrow and see what they say. 😊
