Hi, I found this list on Emma's Diary and printed it off as it seemed like a reasonable list to me (first time mum).

Would you add anything else to it?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Phone charger and drink bottle with a straw, so you can sip from any angle!

And a change of clothes for your partner possibly?

Don't take slippers. They will be ruined. Its shocking how dirty the floors are in hospitals. Take flip flops instead. You can walk around in them, shower in them (showers are also manky) and get them on easily if you end up having a section.

Change for car park
Hat for baby (even if weather is nice)
Own pillow- wish I had done this but forgot

Good luck

Depends where you are- ask what storage is available in hospital for you etc

I'm in Scotland so we are different.

In ours we are supplied with Lucozade sport in labour but are not allowed to eat or chew gum and they also provide formula as needed (lifesaver)

Lip balm
Phone charger
Flipflops (our hospitals are very clean though and all ensuite rooms)
Hand fan
Glucose tablets if needed
Money for trolley that comes round

I would add ear plugs and eye mask. It’s hard sleeping in hospital if you have to stay in.

And when you decide to sleep switch your phone to silent! Nothing worse than being exhausted, drifting off and having a well-meaning relative decide to call...

I came on to add flip flops but see it's already been said. I used them instead of slippers and in particular for showering.
I also lived off those Belvita biscuits.
