Has had anyone had a private midwife/ private maternity services in the Kent area Dartford/Gravesend?
Has anyone been able to have choices or other options via nhs at Darent Valley Hospital?
I had awful experience with my second son throughout pregnancy, labour and after care at my local hospital. I'm wondering if going private is worth it (id need to know if I could afford it first!) or if there are other ways of getting what I want/need via nhs at Darent Valley Hospital and local midwifes in my surgery.
I want to have another baby but am scared sh**less and don't want to be put through the stress and trauma of it all if it goes like it did with my last pregnancy.
Has anyone been able to have a private room after delivery at Darent Valley hospital? If it's an option and you have to pay for it that's no problem it will be worth it just want to know if anyone has had this before.
The midwife for delivery I had last time was terrible and had no clue I pretty much gave birth alone shouting at her telling her to get someone else or other help which she didn't and during the birth I had gone in shock with the pain and fainted and vomited a number of times and extreme blood loss, within 15 minutes of giving birth other staff came then they wanted to rush me in to the shared ward which I was not happy with I was covered head to toe in puke and blood and wanted to be able to clean my self up so after refusing to leave the delivery suite i told them I needed to clear my self up first so I got in the bath and twice during the bath I was interrupted and told to get out and to leave the suite. It was all too rushed and stressful. Then I was kept in hospital for the next 14 days because my baby had an infection which was a complete nightmare there care was atrocious I was refused to leave the hospital and return same day to collect anything etc made to feel scared to leave and felt trapped. On top of that there were many other problems but il be here forever do I just don't want all this to happen again.
Any advice or help you can give would be hugely appreciated!!
