Pregnancy test line darkness, does it mean anything?

I just found out a few days ago I'm pregnant, still very early 4-5 weeks, however the line doesn't appear to be getting any darker, should I be concerned? I've read that you shouldn't judge off the shade of the line and positive is positive? Is this true?

No, the strength of the line means nothing. It depends on the amount of dye in the test, how concentrated your urine is, exactly where on the test you wee’d, what time of day you took the test.

Stop testing. You don’t need to do multiple pregnancy tests. You are (literally) pissing your money away.

Yes, stop testing!

WELL, we can answer this question after along anxious thread the last few weeks.

The darkness of the test is no indication as to whether the pregnancy is good or bad.

You will have to wait for a scan for that.

I’ve only heard of people testing more than once on mumsnet. Most people just take a test, see it’s positive and that’s the end of it. I don’t understand the phenomenon of constantly checking you’re still pregnant.

I was a test a holic but the tests never got darker
