Is labour on the way?

Hello Everyone,

First of all sorry for the TMI first time Mum and everything is strange to me, no family close by and DP isn't great for info!

Over the past week I've been getting period like pains on and off I'm almost 36 weeks and last night I had them all night long they were mild but noticeable especially when I tried to change position.

I also had watery like discharge tinged very slightly yellow again not enough to wet the bed but enough to make me uncomfortable do lots of the night.

Could this be a sign labour is impending? Or might I have just overdone it yesterday?

Any insight would be appreciated!!

Didn't want to read and run, as I completely understand where you're coming from and I'm also a FTM!

I'm 39 weeks now, but since 36-ish I have been getting the same period pains, but not so much the watery discharge. Every twinge, I'm like 'oh is this it?!' but nothing yet!

Definitely keep an eye on it. I wish I could be more help

36 weeks here too

My midwife said last week that my period pain feeling is baby's head engaging. I've not had the watery dc, but I have had bloody mucous which was a bit exciting for a few days - apparently that doesn't mean much either sadly. My mum warned me that pregnancy feels a month too long, I get what she means now!!
