Have started a new thread for people expecting mid/end December. This is my First pregnancy and found out I was pregnant 13/04. Due date is 15/12 so am 6+4. Booked an early scan which we're having tomorrow as we have been trying for 3yrs and just want the reassurance as dr doesn't want to see me, midwife still a couple of weeks away and nhs scan 12wk booked for 4/06 (previously told we might not be able to get pregnant). Few symptoms, sore boobs, bloated tummy, peeing lots and stretching feeling across tummy but no sickness. Am so anxious about everything especially with the MC rates. Just really hoping to see something positive on the scan tomorrow! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Congratulations to you all - definitely the best Christmas present I could have hoped for (so long as everything ok!!)

@hod19 hope everything is well
@35andcounting it’s all such a worry isn’t it, I keep thinking I must be positive and enjoy this as it will be my last pregnancy, but then I instantly feel like I’m jinxing my self xx

35counting · 02/05/2018 09:55

@Mami2boys I feel like everything I do might jinx it, even signing up to mumsnet! It is so nice to be able to discuss things with you all here though before we’re able to tell anyone. I am finding avoiding drinking situations the hardest at work, normally I’d be the first to suggest drinks after work and yesterday I had to fein illness (although I did have a headache), and have had to cancel a meal and overnight stay with colleagues next week to avoid questions! It’s going to be a long few weeks (assuming everything is ok)!

Hod19 · 02/05/2018 19:00

Hi @Mami2boys & @35counting,
All ok at the moment. No more bleeding & no cramps. I'm keeping everything crossed that all is ok. Still waiting for a date for my first scan - should've received it by now, will chase up Friday as would be helpful to have something to aim for.
How are you both doing today?

35counting · 02/05/2018 19:51

That’s good to hear @Hod19, I’ve started feeling dizzy/faint today if I stand up too quickly so will have to be careful, still very bloated and my boobs are solid, a bit of heartburn but otherwise not too bad. The bloating is making me look pregnant already so I have to pick clothes carefully, the dress I had on today won’t fit much longer (hopefully)! Hope you get your scan appointment soon, I’ve still not heard from the midwife!

Mami2boys · 02/05/2018 22:50

@hod19 glad to hear your feeling better. My nausea has been at its worst today but for some reason the only thing that easies it , is eating Hmm Hope I don’t pile on too many lbs as I’m a bridesmaid beginning of next year , and already worried I won’t fit in the dress xx

Hod19 · 03/05/2018 12:31

@Mami2boys finally spoke to midwife, she said any more bleeding then I need to go to my GP to get referred for an early scan. Also got my 12 week scan date, closer to 13 weeks as I'm on holiday but aiming for 4th June. Think I'm going to book in for a private one just for some reassurance in the next couple of weeks.

35counting · 03/05/2018 12:48

That’s good news @Hod19 and I completely understand re early scan, I may have to have another one before 12 weeks if all is ok next week! I’ve still not heard from the midwife so called the docs to check they’ve had my referral form, they’re going to check and call me back. I’m hoping to get it sorted soon as don’t want my scan to be late!

Hod19 · 03/05/2018 12:49

@35counting I've just heard back from private scan and can hopefully go next Friday afternoon which would be great. Will keep you posted!
How are you feeling today?

35counting · 03/05/2018 14:53

Relatively normal today @Hod19 thank you although that is making me worry), how about you? Still got almost permanent heartburn and the spotting continues on and off but I’m trying to stay calm about it and resign myself to the fact that some women just do. Only a week left until my scan now which is a relief and at least it’s a bank holiday on Monday, next Thursday can’t come soon enough!

Mami2boys · 04/05/2018 15:54

More brown spotting today with a sligh bad tummy but , but trying not to worry (very hard) but when I did have my miscarriage , I literally started bleeding like a period , so as long as that does not happen . Glad you both have scans soon it’s such a blessing being able to see if all is well xx

35counting · 04/05/2018 16:02

It is such a worry isn’t it @Mami2boys, mine has been on and off for 2 weeks so I have stopped worrying as much as I initially did as it is just normal for me now. I wish they could explain why it happens as that might help put our minds at ease!

Mami2boys · 04/05/2018 22:58

@35counting they did say in my scan that I had a small bleed in the uterus which should explain the dark blood and discharge, if it was bigger she would check me every week but it seemed ok as long as I don’t get a heavy bleed. Doesn’t stop the worries though xx

35counting · 06/05/2018 14:03

No I agree @Mami2boys, it doesn’t stop you worrying. I am bleeding a bit again today which has scared me but called the epu and they can’t get me in for a scan before my appointment on Thursday, so worried about it all and wish there was something I could do! Going to try and lie down for the rest of the day!

Mami2boys · 06/05/2018 21:55

@35counting yes keep your feet up , do you find you bleed more after being busy? Xx

35counting · 07/05/2018 08:45

Not really @Mami2boys but I think it may all have sadly been the precursor to the event I was dreading, I think I am miscarrying, been blessing fairly heavily since yesterday afternoon and got quite bad cramps, I don’t think there’s any way it cannot mean the worst. This may be the end of the line for me but I won’t find out until the scan on Thursday. Keeping everything crossed for the rest of you, best of luck!

35counting · 07/05/2018 08:46

*bleeding

Hod19 · 07/05/2018 10:18

@35counting I'm so sorry to hear that - I will keep everything crossed for you that it's ok. My midwife said if I had more bleeding to go to A&E, could you do this and maybe they would be able to scan you?

Hod19 · 09/05/2018 20:56

@Mami2boys how's your week going? How are you feeling?

Mami2boys · 09/05/2018 21:25

Sorry i have been feeling totally knackerd the last few days and very nauseus. Oh im so sorry to hear this @35counting sending lots of hugs and hope for a posative scan tomorrow. @Hod19 how are you? Xx

Hod19 · 09/05/2018 21:35

@Mami2boys I've also been struggling with energy, I'm completely exhausted all the time. I'm taking it as a good sign for now. I'm doing ok, no more bleeding & same symptoms at the moment. I've got my first early scan on Friday at a private clinic - feeling really anxious about it.

35counting · 10/05/2018 10:11

Thanks ladies but I’m afraid I am not one of the lucky ones, pain gradually got worse until I was in agony on Monday afternoon, bleeding actually got lighter but scan this morning confirmed that I had passed everything. Glad there are no complications but devastated that after it had taken so long to conceive it didn’t work, back to the drawing board and the IVF waiting list for us, best of luck to you all, wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies from here on! X

Hod19 · 10/05/2018 12:13

@35counting I'm so sorry to hear your news. We're here if you need to talk at all x

Mami2boys · 11/05/2018 11:28

So sorry to hear your news, hope for a good outcome soon for you hun, they do say you may catch very quickly after losing because of the hormones in your body (not that this will mske you feel better )xxx
