Hi ladies,
In the midst of a mini meltdown here and hoping I’m worrying about nothing.

I’m nearly 17 weeks and all day I’ve been getting these dull aches, just like mild period pains.

Anyone else had this? Is it just stretching or should I contact the midwife?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds perfectly normal to me :) I had the same thing ended up going into triage because I freaked out and was told it was just my muscles and ligaments stretching. Have a bath it'll help :)

Normal! It's ligament pain. I had it too everyday, sometimes felt like I was going to come on my period any minute :)

Thanks so much everyone - I’m running a bath as I type this! Its pretty scary because it does feel exactly like period pain. Shock

Pleased I didn’t bother the midwife if it’s normal.... ! Blush

Hi! 17 weeks tomorrow and I've had this on and off over the past fortnight! Had my consultant appointment yesterday and they were totally unphazed (sp??). My sister (due tomorrow) also confirmed it's normal. As long as there's no bleeding and it doesn't become properly painful you're alright I think!

TeachingPuffin · 19/04/2018 22:12

At booking in my midwife did say you can't expect to grow a whole human being and not have any symptomsSmile I have to remind myself of that from time to time!

FrauNeuer · 19/04/2018 22:33

Ha ha, that’s a very good point! I’ll remember that.

Thanks again everyone. Smile
