Breast Feeding

Hi everyone, I’m a FTM due in July and planning on breast feeding my baby when he arrives. I’ve had lots of pressure from friends to buy a prep machine and even when I tell them I’m planning on exclusively breast feeding, they say I should get one just in case.
Is it quite common for mums to plan on breast feeding and end up unable to for whatever reason and should I just buy the prep machine ‘just in case’?
Thanks!

Starting to think about feeding/bottles etc... I literally have no idea what I'm doing, it's all completely alien to me. I am hoping to breastfeed so on my list I have a breast pump (is manual or electric best?), breast milk storage pouches, self-sterilising MAM bottles, the Tommee Tippee breast milk pouch warmer and the travel flask. Would like my husband to be able to feed baby too and when out and about I don't want to have to breast feed (nothing against anyone who does, I just don't think I'd feel comfortable!). Does this sound like I have everything covered?

I'm planning on breastfeeding so have some colostrum in the freezer in case there's any issues - no plans to buy any bottles / formula or prep machine. If I need them, hubby can go to Tesco!
