DS was 8lbs 12 and was C- section as he was breech. Am considering vbac for second, but am terrified this baby will be even bigger! Ouch!

DS1 10lb 10oz - 9 days over
DS2 10lb 4oz - 4 days over

Ds1 7lb 13
Ds2 6lb 15

DS1 7lb 2, 10 days early, c section for breech like you,

DS2 7lb 12, 3 days early (so I figure about the same at the same time), VBAC.

FWIW, I was so pleased I went for vbac, it was totally different to recover from, much much easier. Yes, it was more painful at the time (!), but I could walk and drive the car, and lift my toddler again the next day.

Good luck smiling!

cazzybabs · 09/05/2007 19:47

hattie2 · 09/05/2007 19:51

DS1 8lb 13
DS2 8lb 2

So no!

lyrabelacqua · 09/05/2007 21:52

DS2 was a vbac but it ended up being a 24-hour labour with a ventouse delivery so if i could go back and do it again i'd have had an elective cs. But then I'm rubbish at labour.

lucy5 · 09/05/2007 21:53

dd born at 38 weeks, 7 lb 2
ds born at 38 weeks, 8 lb 9

pucca · 09/05/2007 21:55

Dd - 1 weeks late 8lb 13oz
ds - 2 weeks early - 9lb 6oz

So certainly was correct for me I ended up with a 3rd degree tear with my dd, and was advised by consultant to have a section with ds, but even up to the last min (went into labour naturally) i was still thinking about changing my mind and going for normal del, glad i didn't tbh as he was so big, i still am he was so big and 2 weeks early! scary.

tangarine · 09/05/2007 21:55

ds 1 3.75kg, induced 3 weeks early, took nearly 2 days to get going

ds 2 4.5kg, arrived on due date, 4 hours labour

So far bigger but a lot easier.

SpawnChorus · 09/05/2007 22:03

DD (first) - 8lb 10oz
DS (second) - 10lb 9oz

aintnomountainhighenough · 09/05/2007 22:25

DD 7lb 1oz
DS 8lb 2oz

tangerine - did you know that 'they' have ruled that we are still allowed to use lbs and ozs!

Mistymoo · 09/05/2007 22:27

DS 9lb 7oz (first)
DD 9lb

so not always.

I was 2/3 in my family and I was the smallest. My bro was Biggest and first.

IdrisTheDragon · 09/05/2007 22:30

DS 6lb 1oz - 11 days early
DD 7lb 11oz - 4 days late

DD was a much nicer birth . 27% increase in weight .

tangarine · 09/05/2007 22:44

saffy202 · 09/05/2007 22:53
