Hello All i have this week discovered i am pregnant...my last period was beginning of february. How did i find out...i went to visit my parents and felt queasy on the 4 hour journey back home. Walked through the door and havent stopped being sick since 🤮 its a great joy for my husband and me as i have rheumatoid arthritis and had a knee replacment 9 years at the age of 24 😔 we had been trying for 2 years and recently decided to ask our GPs to refer us but naturally before our referral appointment i am preganant. Now i am worried about my job, arthritis and how this will affect my joints.

Your place of work have to be careful with pregnant women, your best bet is telling them and they'll do a risk assessment. Also any sickness when pregnant is not used on your usual sick record,I'm currently on week 3 with a sicknote from doctors due to migraines. Congratulations xx

I have informed my manager today that i am pregnant- who was shocked 😳 as only last week i was at work not vomitting every hour! Only thing that worries me is not being able to work upto my due date due to my arthritis and losing out on occupational maternity pay 😬

You can take maternity leave surprisingly early. I'm due 25 July and can officially go from 6 May. Failing that there is always sick leave.

Congratulations Thanks
