Early reassurance scan

Hi I've recently found I'm pregnant and confirmed at the doctors estimated for 6 weeks 6 days. I'm going for a early scan next week as I've had 5 mc and am worried that my home tests are still negative. Out of 22 tests only 1 has been positive leading my ex to call me a liar. However the doctors and hospital both picked up a positive. Will my name be on the scan? I'm just wondering how I can prove my pregnancy to him. Not that I want him back but I would of liked the support as the pregnancy progresses. Thanks xx

A home test at this stage should show up positive. And yes scans have your name and date on them. That’s standard.

Yes your name would be on the scan as that's entered on the ultrasound machine.
However it might be best to wait until 8 weeks or longer. You might not see much if you are less than 7 weeks (and your dates might be inaccurate depending on when you ovulated. I ovulated late and so was a week earlier than I thought so we didn't see anything at 7 weeks)

Just to warn you as well, when I had an early scan I wasn't allowed to have a picture - my hospital only allows you to have them for the 12 and 20 week scans. It may be different where you are but just to prepare you that the sonographer may say no, as it's supposed to only be to check everything is okay.

Good luck!

I've had a early one before with a photo based in Shrewsbury, but this was 2 years ago and my name wasn't on top just my hospital number. I'm hoping it will be this time, not sure how I'd prove it otherwise other than the fact in a few months il be showing. I'm quite excited. X

OP I sympathise - I was in a similar situation with my ex. The scan photo should have your name on it. Alternatively send him a picture of your positive pregnancy test? Once my ex realised I was in fact pregnant he then started denying paternity (he is a jerk!)

We had a private early scan in Mothercare (£90) last week, at 6w3d, name and date on the top and a couple of pictures to take home. We saw everything and baby had a heartbeat.
Good luck
