Maternity Allowance - changing bank details

Hello,

I've trawled google and so far can't find the answer so I thought perhaps someone here may have some knowledge!

I need to change the bank account my maternity allowance is paid into and I just can't for the life of me find out how!

I am unemployed so unfortunately can't just change me details with my employer!

I would just call them up and they should be able to do it over the phone

Hi, I’m in the same situation and can’t find any info online of how to change bank details over. I spoke to someone online on the direct gov website who changed my child benefit details over but said she wouldn’t be able to help with maternity allowance. Did you get yours sorted out?.

Hi did you manage to sort this after as I’m in the exact same boat now and if the payment goes in to my old bank I will have no access to it atall 😩
