Hello everyone.

I’m currently 34+5 days and having menstrual type cramps. At first I thought I’d eaten something dodgy but no diarrhoea. The cramps keep coming and going but I wouldn’t say I was in pain. Baby is very lively too. I was just wondering what to expect when having Braxton Hicks ?

Braxton Hicks to me felt like someone was pulling my bump tight. It went hard a rigid for a few seconds before releasing. I used to get them when I was going for a long walk or sitting in the car

I'd describe the difference between Braxton Hicks and real labour pains as the difference between an almost cramp and proper rolling on the floor cramp. You know like when you stretch and get a twinge and you can stop and rub it and it goes away.
Braxton Hicks and a proper contraction start off feeling the same...but where Braxton Hicks plateau out like the cramp in your leg you almost had. Real contractions keep building, like a proper cramp.

I know its not exactly what you asked but bits of it are in there.
