Hi, I'm starting to say I'm struggling eating proper food at times as I jus don't fancy it and wondered if I'm alone?.
I'm 9 weeks pregnant and lots of stomach cramps and pains been for a scan all ok with baby.

I'm six weeks gone and my appetite has gone! It's a struggle to eat anything substantial. I think it's pretty normal though.

LMX0 · 02/03/2018 19:28

Its 100% normal i really struggled to eat normal meals/food until 11 weeks then it slowly came back and im 18+5 with a healthy little girl however i still have days where i just dont fancy it

booandbumpp · 02/03/2018 19:51

I'm 6+2 and my boyfriend made pulled chicken and the smell and thought just made me want to be sick instantly. Can't stand the thought of eating meat. I saw sausages earlier and 🤢
I've had cereal and toast today.
You're definitely not alone xx

Body weight in food but I jus can't seem to stomach anything that's good for me certain smells make me sick.

It is just rubbish eh little and often and don't worry about -proper meals as the thought will just stress you and make you feel worse.

gryffen · 03/03/2018 13:00

Eat little but often, try neutral smell foods like apple and peanut butter (if you can) ginger nuts if feeling sick and melon (water melon is good)

Banana is my turn off at 16 weeks - instant nausea lol

Rice krispies and ice cold milk have been the only thing I can face in the morning. The milk has to be freezing though!

I think it’s very normal, albeit unpleasant. Hopefully the second trimester will be better for you. Flowers

sparkles212 · 03/03/2018 16:56

I'm the same. Almost 7w and the thought of so much food disgusts me now. Though i just ate some chips with lots of salt and vinegar and that's really hit the spot!

booandbumpp · 03/03/2018 16:59

Oh my god I've had to stop buying salt and vinegar crisps they are my vice when I feel sick!

jubbablub · 03/03/2018 22:26

@booandbumpp Yes!!! This is me!!!! M&S salt and vinegar chipsticks are LIFE!!!

This is the first week (am 11+2) that I’ve been able to cook. Still can’t deal with the thought of raw chicken.

lozbeth · 03/03/2018 22:54

@jubbablub I’m 11+2 as well. Grin. (Waves)

LMX0 · 03/03/2018 23:34

Little and often is good and dosent matter what it is as long as you cant eat a little according to my notes i lost roughly a stone and a half between weeks 6 to 11 but you normally put a bit back on when you start to eat properly again and at the end of first trim

YorkshireBee · 04/03/2018 11:28

This is so reassuring! I'm 6+4, not being sick but just feel rubbish and can't stand the thought of hot food. All I can stomach is cheese sandwiches, salt & vinegar crisps and plain biscuits! Not exactly the healthiest... but I'm working on the assumption that if that's all I can eat, it's better than nothing! Interestingly, when I do force down something 'proper', I tend to feel quite a lot better for a while afterwards, but quite hard to force it in the first place.
Anyone else think it feels a bit like a hangover, where the thought of most food completely turns your stomach, but when you get the idea of something you actually want, it's like the best food you've ever eaten?!

Oysterbabe · 04/03/2018 11:40

Chicken was the worst for me, I couldn't eat it when I was pregnant.

lozbeth · 04/03/2018 19:53

I'm eating what I can and even my husband learning to feed me what I eat and stomach fingers crossed that it settles soon
