Really bad period pains 39+6 weeks pregnant

Hi Everyone

Been having light period like pains for the passed 2 weeks.
Yesterday about 1pm i got up with seriously bad cramp like pain in the left side of my back which also came round to the stomach.
Then just had really bad uncomfortable period like pains all day.
The woke up again this mornimg at 9am with the exact same thing. Went for a bath but didnt relax anything.
Dont know what to make of it as im a first time Mum.
I called the MW but she said wait until theyre more regular.
They havent been much help through all the pregnancy so would like a bit of advice from anyone.
Along with all this nausea and sorry TMI but very loose poos?

Haha yeh i might do. It might not have done much having a bath but it doesnt hurt n still a nice feeling anyhow. Good luck with ur own and hope all goes well for u :)

I will do lovelystar. :) hope u get there soon. Thats one thing i was dreading so thankful for this stage really. N thank you bluebirdsky. Partners been a massive help which is very scary 😂 good job really. Been making me brews n food.

I also recommend as many baths as you can at this stage. Really takes the edge off the pain and helps you relax. How exciting - good luck OP! You simply MUST update us when LO arrives!!!!

Any news? Only 23 weeks here and already desperate for time to pass more quickly so I’m living through others births at the mo. Grin

Thank you everyone. Update, mucus plug comeing away now TMI but an updates an update haha. Pains are getting worse. Dont seem to stop. Hopefully tonight fingers crossed or early tomorrow 😄

Good luck. Enjoy every moment of it even the pains. So exciting! Would love to do it again but DH would shoot me having another baby Grin he thinks 4 is too many as it is!!

If you can, I'd recommend having a nap. You could well find you'll be awake all night having a baby and you'll really appreciate having had a bit of sleep especially once on the really noisy postnatal ward.
