Age Gap between first and second baby!

What is the age gap between your first and second baby and how did you find it?

I have a 14 month old son and have just found out I am expecting my second baby. I haven’t had my scan yet but believe that I am around 14 weeks pregnant already.

Do any of you have similar age gaps and find it difficult - im a little bit worried and I can’t seem to feel excited at all

Just short of 21 months here.
Neither were good sleepers, to say the least.

First few years were hard going but it's fab now and they are very close

Will be just shy of 4 years between ours and that's after 10 years of ttc.

Dd1 (please don't shoot me) was brilliant sleeper by 6weeks (we think routine) and this one will probably where mother nature gets her shit and giggles for lulling us into false security lol

23 months between ours, youngest is now 7mo. It's hard in some ways - I feel like I haven't slept in forever - but lovely to watch them together.

8 years age gap, when this one is born!

InDubiousBattle · 19/02/2018 21:43

19 month age gap between mine. First 6 months were pretty hard- i'm a SAHM so we had no childcare and almost no family help. Now they're 2.7 and 4 and it's lovely! I highly recommend this gap!

Lilonetwo · 19/02/2018 21:54

There will be 16 months between mine when my second is born.
DS1 is 14 months now. They will be v close. The pregnancy has been tough at times but it's gone so quickly it hasn't been too bad really.

I do think perhaps 18 months+ would have been better as DS is just learning to walk!

Good luck to you and congratsSmile

Nearly exactly the same story as InDubiousBattle. 19 month gap, no family around to help, first 6 months were very difficult but now at 2.7 and 4 it’s lovely!

DS is 14 months and I’m due DC2 next month. It has gone so quickly, no time to think about the pregnancy at all.

Just over a year age gap. No family support and DH works long days. It was extremely difficult at first but it was lovely when DD was about 16 months old and they could properly play together. They had lots of fun.

We had 21 months between ours. Have to say I loved it. DC2 just 'fit in'. I carried him around while I looked after everything else and he was so contented. DC1 slept through from the day DC2 was born, and didn't wake when he cried (even though they shared a room). I was very lucky!

22 months between my two. I have my hands full!
