Should I be annoyed at this?

I made myself some lunch earlier and left my roll on the side while I heated up my soup.

DH came in from bringing back our recycling bin and doing a gas meter reading. I saw him prod my roll with a finger and go 'poop poop!' as sometimes he does (for some reason, he finds this a bit funny).

Just to say, I love my DH very much and we found out at our 20 week scan yesterday that we are having a boy and all is good with this pregnancy. I'm really thrilled.

I'm pretty chilled out about his silly idiosyncrasies and ways like this, but I got annoyed as he prodded my roll after he had been outside and not washed his hands. He says he only used his right hand to pull the wheelie bin in and poked my roll with his left hand.

I know I'm being over cautious with things like this but touching someone else's food without washing your hands irritates me regardless of whether it's when I'm pregnant or not. I'm sure his hands weren't filthy but now I just have to take his word that the roll wasn't contaminated with germs from his left hand.

Sorry if this sounds overparanoid - I probably should let it go and stop being so anxious.

Everything is more annoying when you are pregnant but he made a mistake there. I would have said "don't touch my food with your bin hands!" Take the bins out, wash your hands! And I am not even a super clean person.

I do agree, he didn't think although I will give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he did only use his right hand when outside.

It still irks me, regardless. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to germs etc and had to stop myself going off and having a little hormonal huff/cry about it! (which sounds a bit pathetic, I know!) Hmm

It would of been perfectly acceptable to have a huff at him. Yes he may of used his other hand for the bin but its still not on you handle someone else's food without washing your hands. I wash my hands before I even make anyone a drink. Maybe it's just me but if my husband had poked my bread I'd of sulked. Lol
