So I'm 16 weeks on Saturday and wondered what vitamins I should be taking? I stopped folic acid at 12 weeks?

I take folic acid and vitamin D the whole way through.

Chocness · 25/01/2018 20:44

Same here, folic acid and vitamin D right the way through.

ClareB83 · 25/01/2018 20:48

I'm taking the pregnacare originals throughout.

gryffen · 25/01/2018 20:53

Been told to take folic acid and Vit D all way through- our Healthy Start Vitamins have both so easy enough.

mindutopia · 25/01/2018 20:55

If you're in the UK, the only thing universally recommended for everyone at that point is vitamin D, which you should take all pregnancy. But they might also recommend iron if you are low or borderline. I personally take a pregnancy vitamin that has everything including folic acid, vitamin D and iron, plus I take extra vitamin C (to help with iron absorption) and krill oil (for DHA/EPA). I became anaemic after I had my dd (though iron was great in pregnancy), so I take the extra iron and vitamin C purely as a precaution to keep my levels up.

I’m 11 weeks and take the pregnacare original, as well as a vitamin D and calcium supplement and omega 3 fish oil. I’m probably going to keep all 3 up throughout.

I take floradix (iron, B vits, vit C and folic acid) and vitamin D.

Kpo58 · 25/01/2018 21:52

I take then seven seas pregnancy vitamins.

peachgreen · 25/01/2018 22:09

I took Pregnacare, high dose Vitamin D and Omega oils.

MeadowHay · 25/01/2018 22:53

I take pregnacare. In theory...I just can't seem to remember to take it Confused.

sammy891 · 26/01/2018 10:11

I take the Boots Pregnancy vitamins, they are easier on my tummy than Pregnacare and quite reasonably priced especially with the '3 for 2'.

jellycrumble · 27/01/2018 09:32

I take the Boots version of pregnancy vitamins that come with a daily dose of fish oil, plus extra vitamin D and calcium. Was told to stop taking them at 12 weeks but had so many left I just kept taking them! Folic acid also apparently helps the absorption of vit D

Lifeofpies · 27/01/2018 09:47

I’m just taking vit D. Think that is all that is recommended, though lots of people prefer to take a pregnancy multivitamin for the duration.
