Stretch & Sweep experiences!

Hello!

Its my due date tomorrow and so far no sign of baby despite lots and lots of 'on the right track' type signs and symptoms (cramping, BH, lost mucus plug, backache, sharp pains in cervix)

I've been offered a sweep at my 40 week appointment tomorrow and I think I'd like to go for it as I'm starting to feel pretty done in. Can anyone share their experience of this?

Could they do it? Was it terribly painful? did you need more than one?Most importantly - did it work?

I had two sweeps with DC1 , neither were painful at all but they didn't work despite me already being 1-2cm dilated and fully effaced. However I was willing to try again with DC2 as I didnt particularly want to be induced again and I think its worth trying..(Didn't need to in the end as he came on the day I was due to have it)

I had one,didn't hurt at all or even feel uncomfortable, I was 2cm dilated and baby arrived 3 days later.

It was less uncomfortable that a smear and they're fine!
