Pretty much as the title states. I have always had restless leg syndrome, the most common problem being tiredness makes it 100 times worse. This is the 4th night in a row where I've spent hours with my legs playing up and stopping me from resting. Do any of you ladies have any suggestions on what might help?

I used to take a muscle relaxant before I was pregnant but it's not safe in pregnancy. Short of just crying I'm at the end of sanity. Please help.

Tonic water is recommended for restless legs. I think I read somewhere that fresh pineapple may help but be careful not to eat too much or the acid may cause heartburn.

I feel your pain! I've really struggled with this since about 20 weeks, currently 38 weeks and strangely enough it doesn't seem to have been too bad for the last few nights. Some of the things that have helped me are: a really vigorous foot and leg rub from my DH, eating a banana an hour or 2 (something to do with potassium or magnesium I think but happy to be corrected!) before bed and magnesium spray on my feet. I don't know if any of those work or it was physiological but having the routine of those 3 things as well as a bath seemed to help it some night. If my foot was bad I also used to roll it quite firmly on an empty deodorant. I've found it the worst pregnancy side effect and have had many sleepless nights so I hope you find some relief soon!
