Hello! I am 13 weeks and still being sick 🤢. When did yours end? And did it end gradually or did you wake up one morning and just feel better?

It didn’t, unfortunately! Tailed off to just the morning around 25 weeks and then every other day or so after then but never went away fully. Sorry!

seizethecuttlefish · 08/01/2018 17:53

Mine hasn't stopped yet. I'm 22 weeks. I have been diagnosed with hypermesis gravidarum. Is it only in the morning or constant? How many times a day? Hg is continual sickness. And can be treated with meds. There's a really good thread on here with info and support. I hope it's not and it finishes up soon for you.

mummyG2C · 08/01/2018 18:02

With my first tailed off from 13 weeks stopped about 16 weeks then would come and go for a few days throughout whenever I had like growth spurts/hormonal surges.

Currently 30 weeks with no2 and it's still here and hasn't stopped so just resigned to the fact it's here to stay until this bubs evacuates! I can't really remember what it feels like not to spend the morning wrenching or vomiting hopefully my body will remember once have given birth!

Heregoeseverything · 08/01/2018 18:02

Mine hasn't yet and it's probably at its worst currently, I'm 14+2, though I did get a week off it 2 weeks ago and am hoping this is the last hurrah...!

silver1977 · 08/01/2018 18:30

I was around 17 weeks with all 3 pregnancies. All the books say by around 12 weeks it should wear off so I was convinced I was going to have it all the way through like my Dsis. At 17 weeks I wasn't physically sick but still felt it, then it gradually faded over a week and never returned! Hope that's the case for you OP, it is awful. Flowers

Mine didnt stop - i was throwing up as i was giving birth. That was fun !

maybebaby88 · 08/01/2018 22:10

Sorry in advance but.... I'm 40 weeks today and still have it, although its only been nausea with the odd fortnightly vomit since about 30 weeks. Fingers crossed you're luckier than me!

RosieCotton · 08/01/2018 22:15

With my first I'd say by about week 8 I was over morning sickness. With my daughter it never stopped, to the point I threw up the morning of my c section (much to the surgeons horror) with my third I'd say by about week 15 and I'm at 12+4 now with zero signs of it easing off any time soon

Jakethekid · 08/01/2018 22:18

Mine went all the way through, was even sick a lot whilst giving birth ( although that could have been the gas and air or pethidine). I had a boy if that counts for anything?

hollyindie · 08/01/2018 22:22

I think for most people it eases off after the first trimester but unfortunately for some it doesn't ease at all!
I'm 38 weeks and just spent my whole day in bed being sick 🤢
It's not every day now like it was at the beginning but some days it still catches me out!

I luckily don't suffer from HG just a really bad case morning sickness!
Ice pops and smoothies were the only thing I managed in 1st trimester in the morning. I'd be fine during the day and then at night it would come back with a vengeance.

My body seems to be better in the day time so I try to eat main meal then and have something light as the day goes on so I don't get nauseous.

Potteryprincess30 · 08/01/2018 23:16

By 16 weeks it was so much better Smile hang on in there, honestly I reckon you've only got a week or two and it'll start to lift. Positive vibes Flowers

Potteryprincess30 · 08/01/2018 23:17

Also mine was the worst from 7 untill about 13/14 week's. But by 16 I was nearly completely non queesy and by 20 I was blooming fabulous. Good luck op Smile

Finlaggan · 08/01/2018 23:22

22 weeks first time (sick twice a day minimum every day) 20 weeks second time, had hyperemesis and was truly awful.

Hope things improve for you soon.

UnitedKungdom · 08/01/2018 23:23

Mine starts to ease around 16 weeks and is gone usually by 24.

UserOneBillion · 08/01/2018 23:37

Mine suddenly stopped at 14 weeks. Then for the rest of my pregnancy I’d get the odd nauseous day (hormone spikes I imagine). I did have horrendous gastric flu at 20 weeks (unrelated to morning sickness).

Nikki2ol6 · 09/01/2018 07:30

I feel sick 95% of the time I’m awake... I don’t vomit too much, was twice yesterday and once the day before, will see what today brings 🤨

@Nikki2ol6 that's pretty much exactly how I felt and when it was still bad at 12 weeks I thought I was going to feel like it forever. But a few more weeks passed and it lifted so much and although I had many a dry heave till 20 weeks I felt 100 times better. Hope you have a good day Smile

Heregoeseverything · 09/01/2018 13:42

Just to add OP that I think on these morning sickness threads the responses are somewhat self-selecting - that is, those suffering worse are more likely to reply, which gives a distorted picture! Only one of my friends IRL had morning sickness at my stage (14+3), and a surprisingly large quantity of them had none or minimal sickness.

Potteryprincess30 · 09/01/2018 17:01

@Heregoeseverything yes I agree with that. And even if it never went away for the a poster on a thread like this isn't it better for them to have hope and positive comments, even if it just got them through another week? Positive vibes always Smile

gryffen · 09/01/2018 18:02

Never had any with first pregnancy and was violently I'll last week on one day and nothing since. Think my curse is the boobs though, jeez, any colder I'm gonna scratch the car across the road from inside the house lol
