headaches and pregnancy

I keep getting really bad headaches, I have been sleeping lots during the days as they hurt so much. Whats causing them??

I've been suffering too (am 16 +1) to the point of vomiting. They seem to ease with the more water I drink (although I drink at least 2 litres a day normally anyway) - I'm now on 3 litres a day which has seemed to help.

I've had to take a duvet day today as I'm 3 days into one that just will not lift. I've found water helps, but paracetamol wasn't touching them. I suffer from migraines normally (not a lot lately touch wood) but was told I couldn't take any standard migraine meds last time round. Consultant offered me betablockers but I can't take them for other reasons so I had to suffer a week long, 4 auras a day, spell when I was about 26 weeks last time, fingers crossed I won't get that this time & it's just early hormone induced ones this time. I sympathise totally, am going to try the forhead remedy.
