Sorry to have to unleash this story on you poor folk, but I'm really hoping someone will have some advice.
11 months ago I gave birth to DD, I struggled with constipation and piles throughout the pregnancy, and this continued once she was born. I had a normal vaginal birth.
When she was 2 months old the situation had become so bad, that they were thrombosed, and incredibly painful. The only option the Dr had to relieve of pain was to burst the pile, empty the clots, freeze it. He did this twice over a 2 day period as the first time it came back over night. The second time he stitched it shut and it solved the problem. It was THE MOST painful thing I have ever experienced in my life.
I am now 6 months pregnant with Ds, and things are going down hill again. I'm trying to manage things with stool softeners but am already in alot of pain.
The thing I am really terrified of it labour, when I already have large, thrombosed piles. Has anyone been in the same situation? Is there any chance they won't get worse during labour? I'm so worried about what state things will be in after my mind keeps wandering to a c section, and really don't want that either! I know that sounds extreme but having a pile burst was so excruciating I screamed the Dr surgery!
