Just that really! Woke up 3 days ago with a hacking cough though great I've got this stupid cold as the days gone by it got worse to the point I had to ring 111 this morning as I could hardly breath!! Now I feel rotten and my 20 month old is refusing to do as he is told! It's like he knows I'm running on fumes! DH is on his way home from work to take over!! Any pregnancy friendly remedies to help? I'd try anything right now!!
Sorry for the moan!

I have the same, but only 5 weeks pregnant so less other symptoms to worry about! Honey and lemon is about all my GP recommended, I am enjoying it though as normally I'd resort to Lemsip, which is expensive too!

Did 111 not refer you to the out of hours GP? I also had a chest infection at 30 weeks and after struggling through 5 days (without a 20 month old, I will add!), I ended up on antibiotics and then got much better quickly. In my experience, the GP won’t like you being poorly - I know we always put baby first, but they reckon we’re just as important!
If I were you, I’d ring for an appointment in the morning. Wish you a good nights sleep SmileFlowers

I’m getting over the same thing after a bout of flu over Christmas. I found a really hot curry very helpful. As spicy as you can cope with. Seemed to help loosen my chest a lot. Also manuka honey and lemon helped sooth my throat too. Finally lots of hot showers to help loosen my sinuses and chest. Get better soon!

Sorry I should had added I was seen at the out of hours! Given antibiotics and an inhaler to help my lungs! Day 3 of the tablets and starting to feel slightly human! My DS and DH haVE a cold and a cough so we're all quarantined for now! I've got honey and lemon but regret it every time as it brings on the heartburn 😩 if it's not an active DS, baby #2 is kicking the living crap out of my lungs!! I guess it's payback for all the coughing I keep doing!!
