Last hair removal

I was planning on getting laser hair removal (I have problems shaving or waxing due to extensive surgery on my pelvis area and lots of weird nerve damage and scar adhesion as a result) and then I discovered my BFP!

For me it’s purely so I don’t have to endure the pain and discomfort of shaving or waxing on my damaged ‘areas’. I should also clarify having hair, or stubble down there is also painful for me due to the nerve damage (sorry if TMI!).

The internet is full of conflicting advice on whether it’s safe to have during pregnancy - has anyone had it during pregnancy or been advised by a medical professional (and not google!) not to?

Ask midwife / the person doing the procedure. They probably know and have rules about it

No practitioner will do laser hair/suprano ice laser, ktp or ipl when you are pregnant. So your going to have to wait sadly. The time will pass eventually, I'm desparate to have mine done for my pigmentation on my face and the hair removal too but hang in there Smile the time does pass pretty fast to be honest.

Also anywhere that will do it should not be practicing btw

No salon wanting their safety record intact will do any sort of laser work on a pregnant woman. Some refuse to even do waxing on certain areas due to pain etc.

I was due to get it on my chin before my BFP and they instantly refunded the money for me and booked me for wax instead.

Oh there’s plenty that will do it, and due to their obvious bias in saying ‘it’s ok’ that’s why I wanted a medical opinion / previous experience of one. I will ask my doctor when I see them next but think i will have to suck up my discomfort until BFP becomes a BFB! Wouldn’t do anything which would harm peanut.

I have one of those home lazer things, the handheld ones, and even that says not to use when pregnant and that's not as strong a lazer as the professional machines.
