I'm losing discharge in big globs at a time. Jelly like in consistency

I lost mine weeks ago and im 40+8 now, its not really any sort of indication of labour unless its bloody

With ds, i lost mine at 36&3...was 3cm at 39&4 when they broke my waters to get things going due to severe spd. Unfortunately losing the plug can mean nothing, or it can mean something...everyone's different hun. They can re-grow too! It most likely means that things are progressing for you though, eg cervical changes, effacement\some dialation (which unfortunately also means nothing) Hmm

Just rest while you can is my best advice...god i wish i could take my own advice lol, I'm still sat here analysing every.single.twinge! You'd think you wouldn't stress the 2nd time, but you still do! X

Yep definitely looks like mine did. I was 40 weeks. My waters broke and I went into labour about 48 hours after.

All the best!

Xx

This is my 3rd but my youngest is 13 next month so I'm a little out of practice with pregnancy. I am having tightenings in my bum and stomach though but maybe she's just having a move around again

lolly being your 3rd dc it could be soon for you...or it might not! Sorry to sound vague. Keep me updated...im in limbo too, when did your other dc's arrive (if you can remember lol) my ds started to make an appearance around 39&4, but asked them to speed it up by breaking waters cos my spd was so bad! Biggest mistake i ever made, just led to a cascade of interventions, hormone drip, 2 hours of pushing, failed forceps and emergency c section Sad Should have just been patient and let my body take as long as it needed, as i was already 3-4cms when i asked them to speed things along.

Definitely will not be making that mistake this time! Im going to try for a vbac...fingers crossed!

My bh are crazy atm, had them since 17wks but they are much stronger now. I read that with subsequent dc's, if you lose your mucus plug, its more of an indicator that labor should start soon, as opposed to a ftm losing her plug?

I hope so, really don't fancy another 4 weeks of pregnancy! Got a lot of period type pains going on, but i guess that could mean nothing Hmm

My son was 14 days late and my daughter a day early so who knows xx

Second time round I started loosing my mucous plug around 33 weeks (much like yours, no blood etc) contacted the midwife who said not to worry but then went on to have a very very fast labour at 34 +1.....

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 05/01/2018 18:06

Thanyou! redhead gives me hope that i might deliver around 37wks! Although sorry to hear that you delivered a little too early...did you have any other warning signs? Was your bubba engaged at all? Mines on the brim, which i guess is normal for subsequent babies as they 'apparently' dont engage untill just before or 'during' labor? Midwife today told me that the picture i showed her (posted on this thread) 'isnt' my plug at all, and just normal discharge?! Well im stumped...cos my normal discharge is the normal white creamy stuff, NOT jelly like and swirly looking!

Sorry to hijack your thread lolly, how r u doing? X
