Actually my Gabriel did dress up as an angel for Christmas concert in a white Woollies angel frock with wings.
But still looked very manly.

also like Raphael.

Actually Blu, i think I was having an abberrant brain chemistry moment due to having inadvertently eaten two large chocolate chip cookies from (gasp) Greggs...

I love it but I don't feel brave enough to give that name to dc3 esp if it's a girl

Curlygirly · 24/04/2007 17:20

Ds2 is Gabriel and we often call him Gabes.

belgo · 24/04/2007 17:21

I really like the name. And Gabe.

LadyTophamHatt · 24/04/2007 17:28

We concidered it for Ds4 but it didn't go with the older Ds's names.

Lovely name.

Marina · 24/04/2007 20:06

Really blu? On here?
I like it, but it would have been totally absurd with our surname

gemmiegoatlegs · 24/04/2007 20:08

we liked it. If dd had been a boy she may have ended up as Gabriel. All our f+f hated it (made me like it more )

shhhh · 24/04/2007 20:09

I love it and so does/did dh..In fact our ds (10 weeks) was a maybe with this name BUT we decided against it. DH thought it may not have been manly enough... His argument was the fact that in the bible gabriel was an angel and he see's this as a bit feminine.!! MEN 'eh.... It was up to me......................

ja9 · 24/04/2007 20:10

love it

it has taken me a while to warm to it tho'. wasn't so sure about it when friend called her ds it 2 years ago. now i think it's very cool.

emankcin · 24/04/2007 20:10

Gay

the child will be called GAY

why subject your child to that? isn't school hard enough. Ye Gods, you will probably send him to school in comfortable well made clothing too.

It's a nice name, I know a few little boys with it who don't seem to have any problems with it. If you are not sure you could go for a more boring middle name that he could choose to use if he has any issues with it.
