Hi

I'm approx 4 weeks pregnant at 38 and just experienced some light bleeding, feeling very anxious and trying not to panic. I haven't had kids up to this point, just 2 miscarriages one at 8 weeks and one a medical miscarriage at 12 weeks because the baby had stopped developing. I don't feel very well my legs are very achy and suffering from a sore throat that's developed over last 24 hrs. Had some light stomach cramps earlier today but had a bath and these immediatley eased. Is there any advice anyone can give me right now that would help or even support yo stop me stressing out ? Thank you for any thing you can do xxxx

Light bleeding isn’t a major concern if it turns bright red then call the maternity ward or 111 if all fails turn up at A&E x many have light bleeding and it is fairly common try not to panick yourself and keep the thread updated x any other worries feel free to inbox me I’m not a midwife but I do live with one x

Thank you so much.. okay I will do.. just feeling generally achy today but hoping if I take it easy for the next couple of days that will help. Due to previous miscarriages the hospital have said they will do a scan on me in a couple of weeks earlier then normal.. because of previous experiences I'm half dreading half excited about the scan. Thanks so so much for your support I will keep the thread updated

I had light bleeding at 7 weeks and then heavy bleeding abs clotting at 30 weeks, and DD is now 12 weeks old and I'm trying to feed her to sleep whilst mumsnetting!

Bleeding was scary at the time, especially at 30 weeks when it was really heavy but she was perfect.

It's very common so OP lots of luck and love- try and stay positive. I had a scan at 7 weeks and she looked like a little kidney bean!

I had light bleeding at juat over 5 weeks amd assumed I was miscarrying. The consultant at the hospital explained that loads of women have slight implantation bleeding in the early weeks. And my pregnancy carried on as well. Don't panic, you're probably perfectly fine Smile

I had spotting on and off and some light red bleeding between weeks 4-7 or so. When it was red I called the mat hospital and they told me I didn't need to come in unless I bled enough to fill up a sanitary pad, which I never did. I'm 16 weeks now and everything seems to be going fine. Try not to worry Flowers.

Hi everyone thank you, still having very light bleeding a little today I don't have any stomach aches or mild cramps today that has eased so hoping it's easing now. Sadly I have been through 2 miscarriages so I know when it is more serious but don't know what to expect in a 'normal' pregnancy if that makes sense as never had one.. every twinge could make me worried but trying not to over think anything but it is hard. We want a baby so much I don't know if I can go through this again if we loose a third baby.. I know some women do, but not sure that I can handle the physical and emotional pain of it again. It helps hearing from you all and your experiences of what is okay xxx

Have you contacted the EPU? They could take your bloods and check that your HCG levels are rising okay? You'd need at least two sets over 48 hours but given your history they may do it?

Mummyloves09 · 02/01/2018 16:40

First of all congratulations,
I hope your Ok?

I had spotting on and off 4 - 9 weeks. I was in and out of epu throughout those weeks. Fortunately it was all ok and I am now 17w 5d. They also advised that it only becomes a problem with you fill a sanitary towel with bright red blood, but I had other medical issue hence the repeat visits to EPU. However I know how nerve wrecking it can be.

I hope that helps

I think I have miscarried but not 100% sure.. The blood got heavier from Thursday onwards, don't think I have passed any tissue or blood clots but the blood was much heavier more like a period. I haven't had cramps though and blood was heavier Thursday to last yesterday morning but then started to ease and had eased completely now. I have called hospital and was going for a scan Wednesday but they have moved it forward a day to Tuesday morning. I'm very emotional up and down and thinking I'm going to take tomorrow and Tuesday off work, i have a bad cold as well so will put it down to that for now. I do think the worst though that I've lost it.. just dreading them telling me it's another missed miscarriage and I have to take tablets again that's what happened for our second miscarriage. I don't know if I can go through this again now it's our third loss I don't know how to carry on trying x

Oh you poor thing Sad
Sorry, only just spotted your most recent reply. How did the scan go?

Difficulttimes17 · 11/01/2018 22:59

Sadly I have miscarried and lost the baby :( it's been hard to take as the 3rd miscarriage. We had a lot of tests at hospital this week to try and identify what is causing the miscarriages. Xxx
