Thick brown discharge after internal

Ended up getting checked out after a gush of watery discharge (I’m about 22 weeks) and the internal hurt much more than any others, to the point where I felt very faint. Turned out the doctor had made me bleed due to “local trauma”

I had one about 2 weeks ago and it was nothing like this.

Anyway today I went to the toilet and wiped a lot of light brown thick mucus discharge (around a tablespoon) and I’ve had brown discharge/spotting throughout the day.

I’ve rang back maternity triage and they have said it’s fine because it’s old blood and it’s unlikely that my mucus plug has been damaged or come away, but I’m still really worried.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had a little bit after external scans. Stopped after a day and babies were fine.

Thanks Clare, I’m just worried as it’s never happened before and it was quite a lot of thick brown mucus (I’m assuming TMI doesn’t be exist on mumsnet )

You're right there's no TMI esp in the pregnancy forum.

I would have worried too, but you rang triage and they said it's fine. And they always say not to worry about brown just red.

So I'm sure it's fine.
