Hi,

I'm 26+1 day pregnant and hVe recently noticed symptoms of bacterial vaginosis which I have had in the past prior to being pregnant so recognised the symptoms very well! I have been to my local Matnernity assessment unit and they have given me a cream to use called dalacin cream a swab was not checked she just said that any sign of injection I should treat regardless of waiting 4 days for test results. I'm just wondering if any ladies have used this cream before whilst being pregnant and if it is completely safe? I'm getting very mixed reviews on the internet.

Any advice would be lovely

Surely they wouldn't have given it to you if it wasn't safe Hmm

I am not a medical pro but A quick google will tell you that it can be used in 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy. It's not to be used in the 1st.
The midwife really wouldn't have given you it if there was any doubt. It's obviously your call, but having had BV before myself, you do need to start some treatment asap to stop it becoming worse. It's bloody awful!
Hope you're feeling better soon.
