On my birth ball as we speak!

Give me your tricks / tips that helped labour along or did anything actually work for you?

Before anyone scalds me... I know the best method is to wait until the baby's ready. I'm not looking for any dangerous / harmful quick labour methods. Just if anyone found anything which helped get things moving along? 😀

Totally not a helpful idea but my midwife joked with me that I was still pregnant at my 41 week appointment. Went into labour 12 hours later.

Stewed dried apricots worked both times!!

I took my dogs on a huge long walk the day before my waters broke... don't know if it helped any but I couldn't sit still so definitely helped me keep my calm and stopped me thinking about the wait!

Absolutely foolproof way to go into labour is to wait! It will definitely happen if you do that.

Sorry.

I can wait but I can also do what I can to help! On a mission not to be too overdue! Feeling miserable

My midwife said there was only 1 way that she knew that would almost always guarantee labour within 12 hours and that was having sex. Worked both times for me.

I don't see how having sex works seeing as we've been doing that throughout, why would it suddenly cause labour just because I want it to?
But I'm following as 39 weeks and reallllly don't want to be induced.

My SIL said her friend did rasberry leaf tea and castor oil. I've heard really bad things about castor oil and I'm not that desperate yet but apparently that worked for her.
Not sure about this rasberry leaf tea has it worked for anyone?
