Miscarriage or not?? Need some advice please x

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can shed some light or experiences good or bad! I should be 7.2 weeks pregnant today, I took some pains last week at 6 weeks and had a u/s at the EPU. It was a transvaginal scan! As a result all they could see was a small sac that was measuring around 3-4 weeks with a faint pregnancy test! A week later (yesterday) I went for another u/s and the sac has slightly grown but not a lot! I am bleeding moderately with small clots on/Off and cramping! I initially thought the miscarriage was well progressing since the bleeding started after the first u/s (8 days ago) but since then the sac has slightly grew!!!!! I still have positive tests and pregnancy symptoms! And my head is messed up! Has anyone any experience of this happening to shed me some light on what’s happening to me! I am almost certain it’s a miscarriage but now I’m 50/50! I’m back in 2 weeks for another u/s if my tests are still positive then!

Any experiences ladies good or bad I want to hear please x

P.s they did not do a blood test! Just said wait to see what happens x

If they are not seeing a fetal pole and a heartbeat at 7+2 I'm afraid I would consider it a very bad sign, unless you think you may have got your dates wrong and could indeed be about 5 weeks.

It sounds like things are kind of growing but not properly or at the right pace. Just means it’s going to dragged out. I’m really sorry!

This is my 7th pregnancy, I was lucky to have all problem free healthy pregnancies so this has came as a shock!

I am kind of looking at the possibility of late ovalation? I know I should expect the worse but I suppose I am hanging on to hope...

Oh wow! You’ve been very very lucky to have 6 healthy pregnancies and no chemicals or a miscarriage along the way. I’m sorry it’s so unlucky this time.

I know jojoSM2 I do consider myself very lucky and I am really gutted and confused this time!

The bleed i have and scan is making me give up but the strong pregnancy symptoms is giving me hope! Thank you so much for your reply!

It doesn't look good I'm afraid. By 7+2 there should be a hb. The slow growth points to an eventual loss. I'm so sorry. I've been there 3 times. The limbo is awful. Be kind to yourself. Could your dates be wrong?

As in dates 2 weeks off? And conception only 3 weeks ago?

I did 26th October which came back negative, then the next day 28th October I had a positive text (faint)

Late ovulation possibly and healthy sperm can live up to 7 days in the right environment inside. Give us your dates.

Hm... Going by the date you first tested positive, you'd still be about 6.5 weeks.

Sorry if all this seems too muxh information but to give you an idea;

1st day of last cycle was 27th sept

On 15th October I had what seemed like a brown spotting which lasted 5/6 days (wasn’t heavy) I have never experienced that before .... on 26th Oct did a pregnancy test which was negative then the next day 28th Oct I did a test which came back positive!

I too was guessing I’d be around that week but yesterday on the u/s the sac had slightly got bigger from last week and definitely wasn’t showing to be 6 weeks :( thank you for your help! My head is so mixed up with all this! If it wasn’t for the strong symtoms then I wouldn’t be so confused but I’m preparing for the worse!
